The Speaker
Tania A. Sasaki (Northwest Physicians Laboratories, Washington, USA)Dr Tania Sasaki received her BA in Chemistry from Pomona College in Claremont, California, USA and her PhD in Analytical Chemistry from the University of California-Riverside where her dissertation focused on gas chromatography with mass spectral and infrared detection. She started her career as a research chemist in an analytical research laboratory before joining Applied Biosystems (now SCIEX) as an LC-MS/MS Applications Chemist in 2003. Because of her interest in toxicology, she became responsible for all clinical research and forensic toxicology applications, eventually taking a position as the global Technical Marketing Manager for these areas. Her extensive experience in both LC-MS/MS and toxicology is demonstrated through the many articles she has authored, numerous presentations at national and international conferences, and invitations to instruct training courses and webinars about drug testing and toxicology. Dr Sasaki currently oversees two clinical toxicology laboratories in Bellevue, Washington, USA as well as has her own consulting company.
