Rafael Venson (Forensic Medicine and Science, University of Glasgow, Glasgow, UK)
Rafael received his BPharm and MRes degrees in Pharmacy from the Federal University of Parana (Brazil). Rafael worked as a forensic toxicologist at the Scientific Police of Goias, in Brazil, from 2010 to 2013 before moving to Glasgow to obtain his PhD in Forensic Toxicology from the University of Glasgow. During his professional and academic experience, Rafael developed LC-MS/MS and GC-MS/MS methods, and analysed biological and non-biological samples from more than 2,000 medico-legal cases. During his PhD, he explored the application of HF-LPME in clinical and forensic toxicology. Rafael currently works at the University of Glasgow.
