One of the most challenging group of pesticides is the polar anionic pesticides, such as glyphosate, glufosinate, fosetyl, chlorate and the like, which often occur as residues in food, but are not always included in pesticide monitoring programs. This presentation will focus on the extensive optimization and performance of a new validated ion-chromatography triple quadrupole mass spectrometry based workflow for the robust, sensitive and reliable determination of a group of polar anionic pesticides and metabolites at low µg/kg levels, without the need for derivatization, and all in a single analysis.

  • The sample-to-results workflow uses a modified QuPPe extraction with cartridge solid-phase extraction clean-up
  • Analysis of wheat, leek and baby food samples, with and without the use of labelled internal standards to determine calibration approaches producing results fully compliant with the EU SANTE guidelines for validation and ongoing quality control
  • The workflow is available as an “off-the-shelf kit” which includes all instruments, software, necessary consumables, suitability check standard solutions, and a detailed deployment guide for fast implementation and enablement of ongoing optimum performance.
