*Senior Pesticide Control Lab Manager*
(CVUA-MEL)

Dr Klaus Wilmers received his doctorate in Pharmacy and Food Chemistry from the University of Münster in 1990. His research involved the chemometrical analysis of GC/MS flavour profiles. After his study, he worked for the local government and was responsible for the build up of a network and database for the monitoring of pesticides and residues for food safety in Germany. In 2010, Dr Wilmers joined the Chemische und Veterinäruntersuchungsamt Münsterland-Emscher-Lippe (CVUA-MEL) in Münster for the residue analysis of veterinary drugs and pesticides. He has worked extensively on method development particularly for GC and LC high resolution systems.
